The Haines City High School IB East is a community of faculty, students, and staff engaged in the exchange of ideas contributing to intellectual growth and development. The purpose of the language policy at Haines City IB School is to provide a comprehensive framework that supports the linguistic development of all students fostering both their academic success and cultural awareness. By implementing this language policy, Haines City IB School aims to develop students who are effective communicators, critical thinkers, and culturally aware individuals capable of thriving in a multilingual and interconnected world. Essential to the mission of the academic community is a shared commitment to scholarly values, intellectual integrity, and respect for the ideas and work of others. Accredited in 2007, the Haines City IB East International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme offers a rich academic program of study aligned with our school’s mission statement as well as the mission statement of the International Baccalaureate Organization. Central to the education of any learner is the language(s) through which he/she learns, achieves, and explores their acquired knowledge and skills in the world.
